The Big Bash League (BBL) Technical Committee has allowed the Melbourne Renegades to replace Marlon Samuels with England batsman Alex Hales, after the West Indian was ruled out of the remainder of the tournament due to the injury sustained during Sunday night’s fiery clash against the Melbourne Stars.Samuels suffered a suspected fracture of the eye-socket when struck in the face, via a top-edge, while facing Lasith Malinga.The injury brought to an end a turbulent tournament for Samuels. Brisbane Heat coach Darren Lehmann and Adelaide Strikers coach Darren Berry had been charged for breaches of the Code of Behaviour when they publicly questioned the legitimacy of Samuels’ bowling action. Berry got into a heated discussion with Samuels prior to his side’s match with the Renegades, before Samuels became the pantomime villain again against the Stars on Sunday when he embroiled himself in arguments with both David Hussey and Shane Warne, who was later fined and suspended for the incident.Samuels’ absence won’t create a void as his replacement Hales will be available for the Renegades’ remaining games – their last preliminary match against the Sydney Sixers, and the semi-finals.Hales has played 14 Twenty20 internationals for England over the past 18 months. كشفت تقارير صحفية موقف نادي مانشستر سيتي من التخلي عن خدمات لاعب الفريق برناردو سيلفا، في موسم الانتقالات الصيفي المقبل.

وسبق أن ارتبط برناردو سيلفا مرارًا وتكرارًا بخطوة الرحيل عن مانشستر سيتي، في ظل رغبته في الانتقال إلى برشلونة، وهي رغبة مماثلة لدى النادي الكتالوني.

وحسبما ذكرت شبكة “90min” العالمية، فإن مانشستر سيتي لن يقف في طريق برناردو سيلفا إذا أصر على رغبته في الرحيل هذا الصيف، ولكنهم سيطالبون بدفع قيمته التسويقية بالكامل.

وأوضحت أنه بالرغم من أهمية اللاعب البرتغالي بالنسبة لـ مانشستر سيتي، ولكن بطل الدوري الإنجليزي لن يمنع رحيله إذا رغب في ذلك.

وأشارت إلى إنه في الوقت نفسه، سيطالب مانشستر سيتي أي نادِ راغب في ضم برناردو سيلفا، بدفع قيمته التسويقية، والتي تبلغ حاليًا 75 مليون جنيه إسترليني.

ومن المعروف أن العقد الحالي لـ برناردو سيلفا مع مانشستر سيتي سينتهي بعد عامين، أي في 2025.

ووفقًا للشبكة كذلك، فإنه من المفهوم إنه إذا لم يتمكن برشلونة من الإيفاء بمطالب مانشستر سيتي، فلن يدفع برناردو سيلفا لمغادرة الفريق وسيظل مع النادي الإنجليزي.

ولم تستبعد مصادر داخل مانشستر سيتي إمكانية ربط برناردو سيلفا بعقد جديد، حال فشل انتقاله إلى برشلونة في صيف هذا العام.

Pensando nisso, a dirigente do Manchester City, Lindsey Wright, viajou ao Brasil para realizar uma visita técnica no CT do Grêmio, em Eldorado do Sul. A dirigente elogiou as instalações que receberão os jogos.

Estamos muito ansiosos para o início e pra viver essa experiência de jogar no Brasil. Agora que já vi tudo, tenho certeza que será muito bem organizado e sucedido, avaliou Wright.

Serão equipes de mais de 20 países e Estados do Brasil – além de representantes da América do Sul, como Independiente, da Argentina, e Peñarol, do Uruguai e da Europa, como Paris Saint Germain, Manchester City e Inter de Milão. A dirigente do City garante que a integração entre os atletas mirins será muito válida para seus desenvolvimentos.

Para o coordenador geral da Ibercup, Marcio Lima, o campeonato inicia com expectativas ainda maiores após balanço positivo da etapa preliminar de julho, que aconteceu em São Paulo. Naquela ocasião, foram 122 participantes de oito Estados do país e um público de cerca de 30 mil pessoas em apenas quatro dias.

– Queremos intensificar o nosso trabalho no Brasil e tornar a Ibercup ainda mais forte e atrativa para os clubes que procuram competir em alto nível na categoria juvenil. A prova disso é a participação de mais de 200 clubes nessa primeira edição do torneio internacional no país.

As equipes campeãs das categorias da classificatória Ibercup Brasil garantem participação para a final mundial na cidade de Bolton, na Inglaterra, em maio de 2019.

The USA Cricket Association has announced a 14-man squad for a four-match series against Canada at the Central Broward Regional Park in Florida from November 14-17. The squad includes seven players who have yet to represent USA at the senior level and just three who were a part of USA’s most recent tournament squad at ICC WCL Division Four in Malaysia: Steven Taylor, Ryan Corns and Andy Mohammed. The tour includes one 50-over match, two T20s and the two-day Auty Cup match which was resurrected last year in Toronto after a 16-year hiatus.Most first choice players for USA are unavailable to participate in the matches against Canada after exhausting their vacation time from work to participate in the ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier and WCL Division Four.USA captain Steve Massiah, vice-captain Sushil Nadkarni, Usman Shuja, Aditya Mishra, Aditya Thyagarajan, Elmore Hutchinson and Abhimanyu Rajp are all participating in the 2012 USACA National Championship, which was announced to take place for the weekend of November 10-11 in Florida, but will not be playing for USA in the mid-week matches against Canada. The absence of first-choice players will present an opportunity for fringe players to press their claims for selection to USA’s squads for the ICC Americas Division One T20 and ICC WCL Division Three, which are both scheduled to take place next spring. No captain has been named for USA in the Auty Cup squad.Two fringe players looking to cement a spot for next year’s tours are Japen Patel and Adil Bhatti.
