تغلب فريق يوفنتوس على نظيره سبيزيا بثلاثية نظيفة في منافسات الدوري الإيطالي، ليحافظ على فرصه في المنافسة القوية هذا الموسم.

وحل سبيزيا ضيفًا على يوفنتوس ضمن مباريات الجولة 25 للدوري الإيطالي على ملعب “آليانز ستاديوم”.

تلقى بيرلو ضربة قوية في البداية قبل انطلاق المباراة بإصابة ماتياس دي ليخت في الإحماء واضطر للدفع بفرابوتا أساسيًا واستبعاد الهولندي من التشكيل الأساسي.

الشوط الأول انتهى بالتعادل السلبي، وفي الشوط الثاني قام بيرلو بإشراك ألفارو موراتا وفيديريكو بيرنارديسكي بدلاً من فرابوتا وماكيني بالدقيقة 61.

وبحلول الدقيقة 89 سجل كريستيانو رونالدو الهدف الثالث ليوفنتوس بعد تمريرة عرضية وصلت إليه لينطلق البرتغالي ويسدد بقوة في شباك الخصم.

قبل نهاية المواجهة احتسب حكم المباراة ركلة جزاء لسبيزيا بعد عرقلة من ديميرال لجياسي، وبالعودة لتقنية الفار أكد قراره.

According to The Sun, Sheffield Wednesday will reignite their interest in Tony Pulis if results do not improve under current caretaker boss Lee Bullen.

What’s the word?

A report suggests that even despite giving backing to Bullen, the Owls hierarchy are considering another approach for Pulis, who they had previously chased when Steve Bruce left for Newcastle a couple of months ago.

The 61-year-old didn’t appear to be keen on the job back then, but finances may have played a part because he’s a high earner.

Pulis has been out of work since departing Middlesborough back in May after the club failed to gain promotion to the Premier League.

Wednesday sit 11th in the Championship table but have lost three of their last four matches, which has put the 48-year-old under pressure going into September.

Hit and miss

There would be both benefits and drawbacks to appointing the Welshman as their new manager.

The difference in experience could be the vital clincher on any deal seeing as Bullen has only ever been a caretaker in his managerial career – all three times coming at Wednesday in the past two years.

Whereas Pulis has managed nine different clubs dating back to 1992, including several spells in the Premier League – most notably with Stoke City.

However, his last two jobs have been far from inspiring.

He received the sack at West Brom, who at the time were still playing in the top-flight, after winning just 29.5% of his matches in charge – which at one stage led to fans raising concern over his ‘negative’ style of football.

And 18 months at the helm of Middlesborough in the Championship returned very little success as they missed out on the playoffs by one point.

As such, this move would very much feel like a gamble.

Although he’d offer far greater experience, his record dictates that results wouldn’t be guaranteed.

England returned to the top of Group A following their 4-0 rout of Bulgaria at Wembley on Saturday evening as Tottenham’s Harry Kane played a huge part, scoring a hat-trick and assisting the other.

However, it was his Spurs teammate Danny Rose that received a lot of reaction on social media after his inclusion in Gareth Southgate’s starting line-up.

And that was just the start as several England fans grew frustrated at his performance in the Three Lions shirt as the game went on.

The only other left-back named in the match squad was Leicester City’s Ben Chilwell, but he was placed on the bench – presumably because he had been out injured and only made his Premier League return just days before the international break got underway.

That was Rose’s 28th cap for England though – at last summer’s World Cup, Ashley Young donned the left flank ahead of the 29-year-old.

Several superlatives were used to describe various aspects of his performance including ‘shocking,’ ‘poor’ and ‘awful.’

One supporter claimed the Spurs defender was stealing a living in an England shirt whilst another believed Rose would be a great player if he could cross a ball.

نانا ياو أمبونساه الرئيس التنفيذي لـ أشانتي كوتوكو، اجتمع بوكيل اللاعب، والذي أبلغ إدارة النادي أن موكله ينتظر عروضًا آخرى في أندي عربية داخل إفريقيا.

كوامي سجل 8 أهداف في الدوري الغاني مع أشانتي كوتوكو، مما جعله يستقطب اهتمامًا من أندية كثيرة على رأسها الزمالك، حسب ما أكدت التقارير، بالإضافة لـ الهلال السوداني.

Sheffield Wednesday finally named the man that will lead them for the foreseeable future as Garry Monk was appointed as their new manager over the weekend.

The 40-year-old had been out of work since June after he was sacked by Birmingham City, which was the third Championship club he’s held the reins at.

The Owls have confirmed that caretaker boss Lee Bullen will remain part of his backroom staff, but earlier this week The Star reported that James Beattie could reunite with the man that gave him his first taste at coaching when the pair were at Swansea City together.

Beattie has been part of Monk’s backroom staff at every club though he still remains at St Andrew’s Stadium alongside former assistant Pep Clotet, who is in caretaker charge of the Blues.

There would be an air of controversy if the duo linked up again seeing as the 41-year-old is an ex-Blade, but he would have a significant influence on improving Wednesday’s fortunes, particularly in attack so maybe that rivalry should be put aside for now.

On the Chalkboard

The Owls are rife with options in attack, but it is only Steven Fletcher that has featured in all six Championship matches, scoring three goals via WhoScored.

The likes of Sam Winnall, Adthe Nuhui, and Jordan Rhodes haven’t even had a sniff of reasonable action as they clearly weren’t favoured under Bullen, though Monk has opened a clean slate for them all from now onwards.

If Beattie did join, all of their eyes should light up in a flash as the former Premier League striker has become some sort of goalscoring Jedi guiding his padawans to goal-laden riches.

At Leeds, he helped Chris Wood record his best-ever season, where he netted 30 goals in 48 appearances. The 27-year-old is now living it up in the big time for Burnley and Beattie in no doubt helped that happen following that outstanding season.

Monk and his trustworthy sidekick were only at Middlesborough for a few months having been sacked early in December, but his influence helped Britt Assombalonga net 11 goals in 24 matches during that time.

Last season followed the same pattern as Che Adams scored 22 goals in 48 appearances to earn a £15m move to Beattie’s old club Southampton.

Wednesday’s frontline should be licking their lips at the prospect of being coached by a man that has played over 300 times in the Premier League – one who has a proven track record in getting the best out of his fellow strikers.

Speaking exclusively to Football FanCast, Magpies legend Rob Lee has given his verdict on all things Newcastle ahead of their trip to Anfield this weekend.

Steve Bruce’s side have taken four points from their first four games of the new campaign and Lee, who racked up 370 appearances in all competitions on Tyneside, says while they have made a decent start to the season, there is one player who has to improve.

Speaking on behalf of GentingBet, Lee said: “(Miguel) Almiron I’ve been really, really disappointed in. I know people rave about the way he runs around, but for me for someone who’s cost us £20m, hasn’t scored a goal, hasn’t had an assist, I think you’ve got to do more than that.

“We need him to do more than that. Joelinton needs some help.”

Lee of course played with some incredible forwards during his time on Tyneside, including Les Ferdinand and Alan Shearer, and though he said the jury is still out, he hopes to see more support for the club’s record signing Joelinton.

“He’s shown glimpses of what he can do, but needs some help.

“Is he a target man? He’s big enough and strong enough to do that, but is that his natural game I’m not so sure. Would he play better with somebody else, maybe Andy Carroll? But he’s shown glimpses, against Spurs it was a great finish.

“We’ve lost Rondon and Perez, the majority of our goals last year, so other people have got to help, and we’ve also got to help him get chances.”

Indeed, the Magpies have only registered four assists in total as a squad this season.

The legendary midfielder has also tweeted his support for Bruce in the past, and when it comes to the manager, it’s quite clear where he stands.

“Let’s not have a go at Steve Bruce. He’s a guy that has supported Newcastle a long, long time. I don’t care if he’s managed Sunderland, many players have done it over the years, so what? His team is Newcastle, it always has been.

“All the Newcastle managers over the years that I’ve loved, Keegan and Robson, they’ve always understood the club, the fans, and even Rafael Benitez wasn’t a Geordie but he understood it, and I think Bruce does.

“If fans give him a chance, and he gets the backing of the owner, which is the big problem, I think he’s good for us.”

وأردف: “تدربت تحت قيادة مانويل جوزيه المدير الفني الأسبق للأهلي، ولي ذكريات طيبة معه، وفي الوقت الحالي ليس لدي معلومات كافية عن الكرة المصرية، لكن منتخب مصر جيد وواجه البرتغال، ومنتخب مصر فريق مشهور يُصدر المواهب مثل محمد صلاح، ولكني لا أتابع الدوري المصري بسبب تواجدي في أوروبا، ومع ذلك انا على علم بأن هنا مواهب وشغف كبير”.

وتابع: “كنت ناجحًا في كل الأندية، لا يُمكن أن أختار الأفضل، انا لعبت 20 عاما وهذا ليس وقت قليل، كان لدي لحظات هامة في سبورتينج لشبونة، ثم برشلونة ثم ريال مدريد، وانتقلت إلى انتر ميلان، وكنت سعيد لكل ما أديته في حياتي الكروية”.

واستطرد: “ريال مدريد تأثر برحيل كريستيانو رونالدو، إذا كنت تمتلك أحد أفضل لاعبي الكرة في العالم ثم يرحل بالتأكيد سيؤثر ذلك على الفريق لأنه يحرز أهدافًا كثيرة، ولكن لا يمكن لأي ناد أن يعتمد على لاعب واحد فقط، هو أضاف بالتأكيد لـ ريال مدريد، والنادي أيضًا أضاف له، ولكن في بعض الأحيان هناك تغيير للوجهة”.

وكشف: “ايمانويل أمونيكي لعبت معه في برشلونة، وهو أحد أبرز الأفارقة الذين لعبت معهم، وأفضل لاعبين في العالم الأن هم كريستيانو رونالدو وليونيل ميسي، ولوكا مودريتش، ومحمد صلاح، مبابي، ونيمار، هالاند، وساديو ماني، ولاعبين كثر رائعين”.

واستكمل: “أحب أن أشاهد فرق بايرن ميونخ وليفربول، ومانشيستر سيتي يلعب كرة هجومية جيدة، وسبورتينج لشبونة، وانتر ميلان”.

واستطرد فيجو: “من أفضل المدربين الذين عملت معهم، وساهموا في تطويري، هم كرويف ومورينيو وسكولاري وغيرهم”.

واختتم: “نادي زد مكان رائع، وما يقدموه في الرياضة أمر رائع، ويعملون على تطوير الرياضة وانا سعيد وراض عن عودتي إلى مصر والعمل مع زد وأتمنى أن نستمر في العمل معهم”.

In his column for the Daily Mail, Chris Sutton has said that Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly has all the attributes to succeed at Manchester City if he were to join the Premier League champions.

Sutton felt that the 28-year-old Senegal international came out on top in his duel against Mohamed Salah in Napoli’s Champions League win over Liverpool, adding that his leadership qualities are reminiscent of Reds centre-back Virgil van Dijk.

The centre of defence is a position where Manchester City are currently very sparse, with Nicolas Otamendi the only senior centre-back available to Pep Guardiola after recent injuries to John Stones and Aymeric Laporte.

Given the lack of central defensive options at Guardiola’s disposal, Sutton feels that Koulibaly would be a success if he moved to the Etihad Stadium, especially after his display against Liverpool last night.

Sutton wrote for the Daily Mail: “What a battle we witnessed between Kalidou Koulibaly and Mohamed Salah. The Napoli defender will not have forgotten how Salah danced round him to score in Liverpool’s 1-0 win at Anfield last season.

“Up against Salah again, Koulibaly will have wanted to prove a point. I wonder if Manchester City’s scouts were watching him, too, given their predicament at the back.

“Of course he’d cost a pretty penny, but he has all the attributes that a manager such as Pep Guardiola would want in a central defender. Koulibaly showed last night that he is a leader in this Napoli defence, just as Virgil van Dijk is for Liverpool.”

Koulibaly won two tackles for Napoli against Liverpool last night, as well as making five clearances and two interceptions, while completing 45 of his 56 passes for an 80.3% success rate. [via WhoScored.com]

Otamendi and Stones have actually won more aerial duels per game for Manchester City in the Premier League, with 3.3 and three respectively, while Laporte can match his two interceptions per game ratio. However, in terms of tackling, Koulibaly has been far superior to the Etihad trio, his 3.3 successful tackles per game leaving Stones (two), Laporte (one) and Otamendi (0.5) in the shade. [via WhoScored.com]

Koulibaly’s tackling ability is clear from his statistics, while he seems to be strong across a host of defensive metrics.

Although Manchester City’s current centre-backs outperform him for some metrics, Koulibaly’s well-balanced skill set suggests that he would be an astute addition to Guardiola’s squad if they were to move for him in the January transfer window.
