Lewie Coyle is looking to complete a permanent move away from Leeds United in January, according to Football Insider.

What’s the story?

The right-back spent a two-year period on loan at Fleetwood Town prior to this season.

He is now on another temporary spell with the Fishermen, with that set to end at the end of December.

His contract with Leeds comes to an end at this season’s culmination so the 24-year-old is keen to complete a permanent move to Fleetwood.

This season, he has been an integral part of their team, starting 16 games in the league and getting four assists during that time from the full-back position.

Football Insider have previously reported that Leeds are willing to sell the loanee in January so they don’t lose him for free.

Time to move on

This would be a good move for all parties: Leeds are able to demand a fee for someone they are highly unlikely to use, Fleetwood hang onto an important player and Coyle can settle his future.

From Coyle’s point of view, it is about time that he moved on, as at 24 years old he will be looking to have his future secured with a club, rather than continuously heading out on various loans.

The right-back has already shown that he can make an impact for Fleetwood, so this seems like a move that will make sense for him.

وتابع: “لا أعرف ماذا حدث لديلي في الفترة الأخيرة، لكن علي أن أعترف أنه لاعب رائع”.

وأضاف: “أيضًا سون في توتنهام، وثنائيته مع كين مميزة للغاية”.

وواصل تصريحاته: “أجويرو كان مهاجمًا رائعًا ولا شك في ذلك لقد كان يسجل أهدافًا استثنائية ومميزة على مدار السنوات الماضية”.

Tottenham Hotspur’s latest bout in the Premier League saw them clinch a morale-boosting victory over Bournemouth. Even though everything seemed done and dusted when Jose Mourinho’s men went 3-0 up, the opposition almost clawed their way back with the clash ending 3-2.

And one of the heroes on the night was definitely Jan Vertonghen, whose incredible goal-saving tackle prevented Bournemouth from getting another goal for their troubles. It didn’t take long for many of the fans to recognise their defender’s efforts, but they warned the club that they were not supposed to be in a position to scrap for the victory after going 3-0 up.

And they really do have a point there. Even though Mourinho is still unbeaten and has three wins in his first three games in charge, none of them were really comfortable triumphs.

Sooner rather than later, this is bound to catch up with the Special One and doesn’t really look like a sustainable plan. Still, many other fans were also quick to point out this particular tackle was very much akin to that of Ledley King’s against Robben back in the day and they pointed it out on Twitter, while others were simply gushing over it:

Finally, some of them stated that Vertonghen should sign a new contract with Spurs and that this piece of skill only serves as further proof of his importance to the team.

Of course, we still don’t know whether the 32-year-old defender is going to pen an extension or not but his current deal expires in the summer and Mourinho risks losing him for free.

If it were up to these fans, they would definitely not let him go:

رد رئيس نادي أتلتيكو مدريد، إنريكي سيريزو، بطل الدوري الإسباني على التقارير التي كشفت عن صفقة تبادلية محتملة مع برشلونة بطليها أنطوان جريزمان وجواو فيليكس.

وخرجت بعض المصادر الإسبانية لتتحدث عن تلك الصفقة بعد تصريحات سابقة لرئيس أتلتيكو مدريد قبل أيام أكد فيها رغبته في استعادة جريزمان بالمستقبل.

وعلق سيريزو على إمكانية عقد صفقة تبادلية مع برشلونة يعود فيها جريزمان ويرحل فيليكس إلى برشلونة في الميركاتو الصيفي وقال في تصريحات لإذاعة “راديو ماركا” الإسبانية: “لا يوجد أي شيء حول هذا الأمر”.

وتابع: “جريزمان يبقى لاعبًا في برشلونة، وجواو لأتلتيكو مدريد كذلك”.

الجدير بالذكر أن جريزمان كان قد انتقل إلى برشلونة بمقابل شرطه الجزائي بقيمة 120 مليون يورو في صيف 2019، وفي نفس الميركاتو، أنضم فيليكس إلى أتلتيكو مدريد قادمًا من بنفيكا بنفس المبلغ.

It’s been almost two weeks since Jose Mourinho was appointed as the new Tottenham Hotspur manager and even though we’ve seen him in action already, we are yet to see what kind of moves he will make – if any – in the upcoming transfer window.

Of course, since he is quite a big name himself, it wouldn’t be a stretch to presume Spurs could go in for someone who fits Mourinho’s profile. But now, after his recent verdict for Sport TV (quoted by Metro), we know that Bruno Fernandes won’t be that someone:

“We are not a club that is going to make big transfers in the market, nor is it going towards players who are already developed or at a certain level of expectation, also economically. I would definitely say no because Bruno (Fernandes) is a player of a level and value that is not for us.”

And upon seeing that update, many fans were a bit worried because it gave the impression of a “small club mentality” and they seem to believe this has Daniel Levy written all over it.

Of course, those fans were referencing the fact that Spurs are traditionally a club that rarely spend big money, courtesy of their ownership and more specifically, Levy himself.

They did, however, break the bank during the summer with a number of signings, including the record-breaking arrival of Tanguy Ndombele, who is now the most expensive acquisition in the history of the club.

But that is not the only way fans are looking at Mourinho’s verdict on Fernandes. The player has recently signed a brand new contract which could potentially make him a much less attainable target in the first place, but some fans think this is just a diversion and that the player is already theirs and Mourinho is playing mind games.

Finally, there were some other fans who simply don’t feel Fernandes is a necessity at this point in time and they would rather improve their defence instead. And seeing how they have conceded six goals in Mourinho’s first three games in charge, maybe that wouldn’t be a bad idea.

Not to mention that both Toby Alderweireld and Jan Verthonghen haven’t signed their contracts yet and Spurs risk losing them for free in the not so distant future. For those reasons, maybe it wouldn’t be a bad idea to go for someone to reinforce the backline instead.

These fans clearly seem to think so…

After arriving in a £80m deal from Leicester in the summer, Manchester United may have expected Harry Maguire to take charge of the club’s leaky back-line. The Red Devils after all had conceded a disappointing 54 goals in the Premier League last season, with only West Ham letting in more in the entire top ten (55).

Unfortunately for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side, things haven’t been plain sailing for the England international, and he has encountered his struggles in his debut campaign for the club. A look at his stats earlier in November showed that he was performing worse this year than he did in his final season at Leicester, and he also came under criticism from sections of the United support for his performance against Tottenham in mid-week.

But in arguably one of his most impressive displays in a United shirt to date, Maguire led by example at the back in their 2-1 derby day triumph over Manchester City on late Saturday afternoon. It was a performance that reminded everyone just what he is capable of producing, and proved exactly why the Red Devils were prepared to shell out big-money to sign him.

As per Sofascore, his 7.4 match rating was only bettered by his centre-back partner who received a 7.5. And when looking at Maguire’s underlying numbers in that game, it is easy to see why he was rated so highly. The 6 foot 4 powerhouse took no prisoners with his approach, and perhaps realised that his style of play needed to be altered against City.

In other instances where he may have fancied his chances of coming out from the back, or simply taken more risks with the ball at his feet, the former Leicester man played it safe and sound for the greater good of his team. He made a game-high ten clearances, and followed that up with a joint team-high of three interceptions too. It was a commanding display that showed off his leadership credentials, as he set the tone for a truly impressive defensive performance from United – they let the home side have just five shots on target in the whole game.

If Maguire can use his performance against City as the benchmark for future performances, then the Red Devils will surely now begin to see the best of their £80m man now.

وأتم: “الله أراد أن يبقي على آمالنا للوصول إلى كأس العالم في قطر 2022، هل المسؤولون عن كرة القدم في مصر يرون أن المنتخب يسير إلى الطريق الصحيح مع البدري، أم حان وقت التغيير؟”.
