Manchester United are relaxed about Angel Gomes’ future at Old Trafford and are still holding talks with his agent, as per ESPN via @utdreport. 

Gomes has caught the eye of a number of European giants, including Premier League rivals Chelsea as well as Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund, but United are reportedly unfazed by the transfer speculation despite the fact his current contract is set to expire at the end of next month. He will be able to leave as a free agent when the deal runs out.

Although Barca were genuinely interested in the England under-20 international, the La Liga leaders did not intend to give him first team football, which has been something of a disappointment to the teenager.

Sources told ESPN that the Blaugrana were actually looking to add the United academy graduate to Barcelona’s B team, rather than the senior side alongside superstars like Lionel Messi and Antoine Griezmann. The transfer saga has dragged on all year and there could well be plenty more twists to come in the weeks ahead.

Understandably, many Red Devils fans tore into the “selfish” youngster on social media once the news emerged, with one fan tweeting he is “overrated” and another adding that “he’s a joke.”

Tottenham Hotspur fans have been left reeling by the latest update surrounding their reported pursuit of Philippe Coutinho.

It’s led to some members of the Spurs faithful unleashing on chairman Daniel Levy as well as the club’s ownership, the ENIC Group.

According to Marca, the north London outfit are to end their interest in the Barcelona attacking midfielder due to his wage demands.

It’s claimed that Coutinho is making around €15m (£13.5m) per season at the Spanish giants which is way beyond what Spurs and Levy are prepared to offer, which has left many supporters far from surprised.

The 27-year-old, who is valued at £50.4m by Transfermarkt, is currently out on loan to Bayern Munich where he has provided nine goals and eight assists from 32 appearances, which is pretty good going.

Coutinho joined Barcelona back in January 2018 for a whopping £142m, signing a five-and-a-half year deal, meaning he’s still under contract at the Nou Camp for another three seasons.

Many in north London believe the Brazilian would be a very good addition for the squad next term, especially as they appear unlikely to qualify for the Champions League with Jose Mourinho’s side some seven points adrift at this stage.

It’s that bad that one supporter went as far as suggesting that making the top ten next term would be an achievement in itself. They’re only two points from falling out of it this season, let alone what could happen in 2020/21.

كشفت تقارير صحفية جنوب إفريقية، أن الاتحاد المصري لكرة القدم، يتواصل مع أحد المدربين في جنوب إفريقيا، للعمل في الجهاز الفني بـ منتخب مصر، تحت قيادة المدرب البرتغالي الجديد، كارلو كيروش.

وكان اتحاد الكرة قد أعلن يوم الأربعاء الماضي، تعيين كيروش مديرًا فنيًا، ضياء السيد (المدرب العام)، محمد شوقي (مدربًا)، عصام الحضري (مدربًا لحراس المرمى)، وائل جمعة (مديرًا للكرة).

الاتحاد المصري، أوضح بعد تعيين كيروش، أن سيكون هُناك مساعدا أجنبيًا له ومحللًا للآداء وأخصائيًا للتأهيل، من اختيار المدرب البرتغالي.

وذكرت شبكة “farpost” الجنوب إفريقية، في تقريرها لها اليوم السبت، الاتحاد المصري، قد تواصل مع الجنوب إفريقي، روجر دي سا، المدير الفني لنادي كيب أومويا يونايتد، ليكون مساعدًا للبرتغالي في الجهاز الفني.

ولم توضح الشبكة موقف دي سا، وما إذا كان يريد العودة للعمل كمدرب مساعد مُجددًا، خاصًة وأنه يعمل كمدير فني مُنذ 2006.

روجر دي سا سبق له العمل مع كيروش، عندما كان المدرب البرتغالي، مديرًا فنيًا لمنتخب جنوب إفريقيا، عام 2001.

تحدث أوليفر روي المدير الفني لنادي يد الزمالك، عن تتويج الفارس الأبيض ببطولة السوبر الإفريقي، على حساب الأهلي الغريم التقليدي، ومواجهة برشلونة في كأس العالم للأندية.

الزمالك انتصر على الأهلي بنتيجة 28-27، في المباراة النهائية لكأس السوبر الإفريقي، الذي أقيم يوم الجمعة الماضي، على صالة حسن مصطفى بمدينة السادس من أكتوبر.

وقال روي خلال تصريحات لبرنامج “ملعب أون” على قناة “أون تايم سبورتس”: “دائما أعمل مع الفريق الذي أتولى تدريبه بمنتهى القوة، أول مواجهة كانت أمام الأهلي على كأس السوبر الإفريقي، وهي بداية موسم، وبالتأكيد هذه البطولة تدعو للسعادة”.

وأضاف: “كنا نتدرب بشكل جيد قبل المباراة، كنت أثق في الفوز، أعرف أننا كنا نواجه فريق كبير وطبيعي أن نكون متقدمين ثم نتأخر، ولكننا لم نتوقف عن القتال وفي النهاية فزنا”.

وتابع: “كأس السوبر الإفريقي مهم جدًا لأنه يؤهل إلى كأس العالم، وقبل الذهاب هناك سنخوض 4 مباريات في الدوري المصري من ضمنهم مواجهة أمام الأهلي، والدوري المصري قوي وسنحاول أن نثبت أننا جديرين بما حققناه”.

وعن مواجهة برشلونة في كأس العالم للأندية بالسعودية، أوضح: “أنا كنت مدربًا عامًا له لفترة طويلة، ومواجهته ستكون شخصية بالنسبة لي”.

وواصل: “سنبذل قصارى جهدنا وسنلعب مباراة قوية وبالتأكيد سنقاتل، لكن لا أستطيع أن أؤكد أننا سنفوز، لأنها مباراة في الملعب، وكذلك الحال قبل مباراة السوبر الإفريقي أمام الأهلي، كل ما أقوله إنه ربما تتاح لنا الفرصة من أجل تحقيق الفوز”.

وأكمل: “أنا أدرب فريق بأكمله وأنظر له كوحدة واحدة، كل لاعب في الفريق لابد أن يتحلى بالقيادة بأخلاقه وقوته، ولا أستطيع أن أحدد أو أقول من هو القائد، ولكن أقول لهم دائمًا أنه يجب أن نكون فريق قوي، وأننا سنواجه برشلونة وعلينا أن نتحلى جميعا بالقيادة، بالطبع نمتلك لاعبين رائعين مثل أحمد الأحمر ويحيى الدرع”.

Nesta quinta-feira, o técnico Deivid comandou um trabalho tático apenas para os jogadores do Cruzeiro que não foram titulares contra o Guarani, no último domingo. Assim, o treinador indicou que contra o Boa Esporte, na última rodada da primeira fase do Mineiro, o Cruzeiro terá apenas reservas.

Mesmo que o técnico Deivid não tenha confirmado à imprensa esta intenção, o meia Federico Gino “entregou” o comandante. Ao “Superesportes”, o uruguaio afirmou que o treinador já avisou ao elenco que usará um time alternativo.

-É um jogo que teremos de aproveitar. Para os jogadores que não têm muitos minutos, esses jogos são muito importantes. Estamos fazendo todo o possível para jogar. O Deivid falou que o time que jogará será o que treinou – afirmou.

Enquanto Deivid orientava os jogadores reservas no gramado da Toca da Raposa II, os titulares do Cruzeiro fizeram apenas uma trabalho físico. O goleiro Fábio, por sua vez, foi a exceção e permaneceu na academia do clube.

Por conta das ausências de Dedé e Manoel, lesionados, o zagueiro Léo ganhará chance entre os titulares. Em 2016, Léo apenas entrou em campo uma única vez, também por conta de uma lesão. O zagueiro avaliou o momento:

– A gente vem sempre trabalhando forte para buscar nosso espaço. Aconteceu esta fatalidade com o Manoel, é uma coisa que a gente não gosta. A lesão foi parecida com a minha, sei como é dolorido e complicado. Venho trabalhando para sempre que for preciso jogar bem – disse Léo ao site oficial do clube.

Em sua sétima temporada pelo Cruzeiro, Léo já entrou em campo com a camisa celeste 196 vezes. Além da função defensiva e liderança que exerce, o zagueiro se destaca pelos gols marcados.

Caso marque mais um gol pela Raposa, Léo se tornará o terceiro defensor que mais balançou as redes na história do clube, se igualando a Darci Menezes, com 17 tentos anotados. Geraldão, com 30 gols, e Cris, com 25, são os recordistas.

– São momentos importantes, números importantes que eu trago comigo, são objetivos. A gente sempre quer alcançar estes objetivos individuais. Próximo dos 200 jogos, próximo de ser o terceiro zagueiro que mais gols fez, a gente procura sempre crescer, buscar um algo a mais. Esta é a nossa inspiração para a dedicação – declarou.

It looks like Sheffield United will have a transfer battle on their hands as they look for a new midfielder in the upcoming transfer window.

According to a report in Greek media outlet SDNA, Sheffield United are interested in signing Mady Camara from Olympiacos but fellow Premier League side Newcastle United are also in the hunt.

The report highlights that both sides have made bids for the Guinea midfielder, although Olympiakos want more than what the Magpies and the Blades have proposed and will only sell the 23-year-old for more than £18m.

Camara is only 23 but seems to be a consistent player in the Olympiakos squad as he has played Transfermarkt.

Sheffield United usually play with three centre midfielders, so it is crucial that they have a lot of squad depth in that position, but Camara has the potential to break into that first team and become a key player for years to come.

The fact that Newcastle are also interested highlights that various scouts can see Premier League quality in the midfielder, and if the Blades want to continue battling in the top half of the division next season, then Camara would likely be an effective addition to their midfield ranks if they can land him.

A batalha do São Paulo para tentar manter Jonathan Calleri por mais tempo no Morumbi promete ser árdua. Nesta sexta-feira, o jornal italiano Corriere dello Sport informou o contato de um intermediário com dirigentes da Roma para oferecer o atacante argentino. E o valor pedido inicialmente aos romanistas assusta: 20 milhões de euros (cerca de R$ 80 milhões).

Chelsea could be edging closer to signing Kai Havertz as Antonio Rudiger plays agent yet again.

According to Christian Falk, the German international is reportedly trying to convince the Bayer Leverkusen star to make the move to Stamford Bridge this summer (via Sport Witness).

Havertz has been linked to plenty of clubs ahead of next season after his impressive run in the Bundesliga. The 21-year-old scored 12 goals in the German top flight this campaign and found the back of the net 17 times across all competitions, contributing a further nine assists (via Transfermarkt).

Chelsea have been named as the favourites to acquire the services of the playmaker as they are perhaps the only club in the position to fork out for his hefty £90m price tag. Havertz also recently told Leverkusen that he wanted to leave the club, which could reveal that a London move on the cards (via Daily Star).

After Chelsea announced the signing of Timo Werner, Rudiger admitted he played a part in his transfer. According to SportBild (via Daily Mail), he helped facilitate the move by talking up the club and ultimately convincing his Germany teammate to join.

With reports claiming that the defender is doing the same thing with fellow German Havertz, recent history could be about to repeat itself.

With the huge buzz around a Chelsea move, it’s no secret that Frank Lampard and co are keen to see the midfielder sign a deal. If Rudiger can convince yet another star to join the Stamford Bridge ranks, he could have an agency job waiting for him once he retires from his playing career.
