أعلن المدير الفني للفريق الأول لكرة القدم بنادي مانشستر يونايتد، أولي جونار سولشاير، عن التشكيل الأساسي لمباراة وست هام يونايتد في الجولة الخامسة من بطولة الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز موسم 2021/2022.

ويحل مانشستر يونايتد ضيفًا على الملعب الأولمبي في “لندن” معقل وست هام يونايتد في تمام الساعة الثالثة عصرًا بتوقيت “القاهرة” بقيادة الحكم، مارتن أتكينسون.

وشهد التشكيل تواجد مهاجم مانشستر يونايتد ومنتخب البرتغال، كريستيانو رونالدو، أساسيًا للمباراة الثالثة على التوالي بعد نيوكاسل ويونج بويز.

ويحتل مانشستر يونايتد قبل انطلاق المباراة المركز الثالث برصيد 10 نقاط وبفارق 3 نقاط عن ليفربول المتصدر، بينما يأتي وست هام يونايتد في المركز الثامن برصيد 8 نقاط.

Key Information about Riverside Stadium

Riverside Stadium is the home of Middlesbrough FC. Opening on 26 August 1995, it was the first stadium designed and constructed to comply with the Taylor Report.

The all-seater stadium located in the North Yorkshire town of Middlesbrough has a capacity of almost 35,000. The four main stands are notably known as the North, East, West and South stands, and Boro have provisional planning permission in place to expand Riverside Stadium to 42,000.

A history of Riverside Stadium

The upgraded stadium was built to replace Boro’s former home of Ayresome Park after the Taylor Report which required all top division football stadiums to be all-seater.

Famously, the stadium was built in just 32 weeks which made it the biggest new football stadium to be built since the war and the first stadium in the country to be built in line with the new guidelines. The name was chosen by fans of the club, and it originally opened as The Cellnet Riverside Stadium in cooperation with the club’s new sponsors. Craig Hignett famously scored the first goal at Riverside Stadium against rivals Chelsea, a game which ended up as 2-0 to the newly homed Boro.

Just three seasons after opening, 5,000 further seats were added, and former sponsor BT Cellnet was dropped from the stadium’s name ahead of the 2002-03 campaign.

Over the years, Riverside Stadium has hosted many famous Boro matches, including the 2006 UEFA Cup comebacks against Basel and Steaua Bucharest. In addition, the stadium has hosted many international games at different levels such as England’s 2-1 European Championship qualifier win over Slovakia in 2003, and Team GB’s infamous London Olympic games against Brazil and Sweden in 2012.

Before the start of the 2013-14 season, each stand was allocated to different groups of fans. The South Stand became the new home of the notorious Red Faction supporters, whereas the away supporters moved to the East Stand which was the Red Faction’s former home. Boro famously won promotion to the Premier League at the end of the 2015-16 season, which in turn left the club with no choice but to upgrade their stadium to comply with the league’s regulations.

This construction included the re-location of the TV Gantry to the East Stand and the addition of the two new TV studios in the South East Corner.

Tickets to Watch Middlesbrough at Riverside Stadium

Season tickets at Riverside Stadium for new adult applicants are priced between £645 in the West Upper stand, and £484 in the South Stand and North & South West Corners. For under-18s, season tickets are all priced at £161 no matter which stand is chosen.

Boro also offer early-bird renewals for existing season ticket holders, this reduces the cost of their season ticket for the following season by around £70.

Single home tickets can be purchased online, over the phone or in person at the main Ticket Office at the Riverside Stadium. Adult tickets are priced between £27-34, and under-18s can attend for just £13-17.

“There are a lot of clubs interested: Man Utd, Man City, Chelsea, Newcastle, clubs abroad.

It’s just which club decides to firm up their interest with a formal bid and, crucially, the right money for Villa to sell. The owners will hold firm for a very big fee if Villa survive.” Evans wrote.

Grealish looks likely to go no matter what, but Villa are in a much stronger position to ask for a big fee if they’re a Premier League outfit.

This will likely end up being one of the biggest sales in the club’s history, but if they are forced to sell because of relegation rather than being in a position of power, this could end up being one of the biggest missed opportunities Villa Park has ever seen.

Selling the midfielder for big money could provide the club with the cash injection needed to catapult themselves to the next level, but if they go down and receive a substantially lower fee for him, it’ll be impossible to not look back on it with huge regret.

Last year, Celtic were extremely close to completing the signing of a gifted Motherwell youngster, David Turnbull. Unfortunately, the now 21-year-old playmaker failed his medical exam due to a knee concern, sensationally collapsing the whole deal in the end.

It was seen as a huge blow for both parties and the youngster was devastated. Now, however, according to the latest information from The Scottish Sun, Neil Lennon is stepping up the Hoops’ scouting of Turnbull as his development continues.

Not only that but if his impressive comeback keeps on going, Celtic may very well make a fresh offer for the youngster and bring him to the club in the not so distant future.

Interestingly, Turnbull was exceptional in essentially every single game he played and started so far this season, including an incredible strike in the 2-2 home draw against Livingston. Of course, the Bhoys will face Motherwell and their young playmaker at Parkhead on August 30 and this will be another chance for Lennon to scout the player.

As things currently stand, however, they like what they’re seeing and a year after his dream of playing for Celtic was shattered, Turnbull may very well get his transfer after all.

The source doesn’t exactly say anything about the price or the negotiations that are bound to take place but it does seem like a real possibility further down the line.

Verdict

Turnbull was a great talent last year and he remains a great talent now. Needless to say, Celtic’s interest is not a surprise at all and can only grow as the 21-year-old keeps impressing the right people.

Of course, the clash at Parkhead at the end of the month could very well be his ‘trial’ with the Hoops. If he brings his A-game to the pitch then, there’s every chance Lennon will be ready to pull the trigger.

Sheffield Wednesday have made a lot of movements in the transfer window so far, and they have announced another new addition to the squad on Twitter.

The club posted that Elias Kachunga has signed following his release from fellow Championship side Huddersfield. The 28 year-old centre-forward adds some much-needed firepower as before he signed, the club only had one natural striker on the books in Jordan Rhodes, who only managed three goals in the division last season.

Kachunga has a decent goal scoring record as he has played 365 games throughout his career and scored 99 times. He has also picked up 33 assists, per Transfermarkt. For Huddersfield in both the Premier League and the Championship, he scored 17 times and assisted 10 times.

To bring an experienced forward to the club is normally a good thing, and now manager Garry Monk will have a week before the Championship starts to work out a formation to get the best out of the player.
