Darren Bent has tipped Moise Kean to leave Everton once his loan spell at PSG ends at the end of the 2020/21 term.

Speaking to Football Insider, the former Spurs, Aston Villa and Sunderland striker thinks that if the Italy international continues to score a lot of goals for the 2019/20 UEFA Champions League finalists, then he may get himself a move away from the Goodison Park faithful:

“You know what’s going to happen, he’s going to go to PSG, score all these goals and play really well, Everton are going to want to bring him back and he’s not going to want to come back.

“In that respect, I can understand it because he’s not really been given much of an opportunity at Everton – I know he’s not helped himself as well in certain situations – but he’s going to go to PSG, find his form, link up with some of those players, enjoy his football, find his confidence again.

“The last thing he wants to do is leave PSG, come back to Everton, fall behind Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison, not get much game time and be like: ‘What’s the point in me coming back here?’

“I reckon if he scores 15 to 20 goals, does really, really well, he won’t come back.” 

Kean has had a very good start at PSG

Indeed, Kean has had a very good start to life at Paris Saint-Germain, scoring no fewer than five goals and making a further assist in just seven games in all competitions so far this season (Transfermarkt).

Thomas Tuchel has previously hailed the impact that he has had on the reigning French champions, claiming that the 20-year-old has ‘a great physical capacity’.

Everton may look to sell Kean

Indeed, Carlo Ancelotti’s team may look to sell Kean for a good price at the end of his loan spell should he keep banging in the goals in France.

The striker was nowhere near as prolific for the Merseyside club, as he only managed to find the back of the net twice and make just two assists in 31 matches in the Premier League (Transfermarkt).

Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison have also scored a very impressive 15 goals between them so far in this campaign, and so perhaps selling Kean would not be the worst idea in the world, although a lack of attacking talent does seem to be an issue for the Blues.

Nonetheless, the forward could well get a move away from the Toffees at the end of his loan spell as Bent has claimed.

Newcastle’s summer transfer target, Moussa Marega, is in no rush to sign a new contract at Porto, and could leave the club on a free transfer in 2021.

What’s the story?

Reports over the summer transfer window suggested that the Mali international was on the radar of a number of Premier League clubs, including Newcastle.

However, with his agent insisting that his client was happy in Portugal, a move away seemed to be put on hold. Now, Portuguese publication Record claim that Marega is once again attracting interest from elsewhere, and that he could potentially leave Porto when his contract expires next summer.

Though the new report doesn’t specifically mention which clubs are keen on the striker, there’s no questioning the Magpies could land themselves an absolute bargain by revisiting their interest in the 29-year-old.

Bargain for Steve Bruce

Whilst his start to the new season has been rather slow with just three goals in ten games, Marega has proven himself to be a prolific finisher in his time in Portugal.

Last season saw him bag 15 goals, whilst the two years before that saw him net 21 and 23 times respectively. Hailed as a “rough diamond” by one of his former managers, Marega’s rise from relative obscurity into playing for a Champions League-playing side has seen him draw comparisons with Leicester City star Jamie Vardy.

And as Vardy has shown, age is just a number, and if the quality is there, then clubs shouldn’t feel any problem at playing them week-in and week-out. With Marega also potentially available on a free transfer next summer, the Magpies would be making a smart decision by throwing their name into the hat once again.

بغض النظر عن الأداء، لا يزال محمد صلاح لديه 15 هدف في 15 مباراة مع ليفربول، بما في ذلك صناعة 7 أهداف أخرى في جميع البطولات.

وأكدت الصحيفة أنهم متأكدين من أن اللاعب سيعود مرة أخرى إلى صدارة التصنيف مرة أخرى والتي احتلها هذه الجولة لاعب وسط وست هام، ديكلان رايس.

Kyle Walker-Peters put in a very disappointing display in Southampton’s 3-2 defeat against Manchester United on Sunday and perhaps Ralph Hasenhuttl should consider recalling Yan Valery to his side as some competition for the Englishman.

The right-back joined the Saints on a permanent deal from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer and has been very much first-choice for the South Coast so far this season, having started all 10 of the Saints’ games in the Premier League thus far.

Although he has averaged a very solid 6.94 rating for his performances in the top-flight so far this season, he put in arguably his worst display of the season against the Red Devils, with WhoScored awarding him a 6.1 rating.

As per SofaScore, the 23-year-old lost possession 23 times during the time he was on the pitch, which was the most of any Southampton player on the pitch.

The summer signing also struggled defensively, as he was able to win just four of his nine ground duels, whilst he was unsuccessful in both of his aerial duels during the game, resulting in a poor overall success rate of 36%.

He also struggled with his passing at times, as only 45 of his 59 attempted passes found a Southampton shirt, resulting in an unspectacular pass accuracy rate of 76%.

Whilst a lot of Southampton fans took to Twitter to criticise Jannik Vestergaard after the game, it was Walker-Peters who earned the lowest rating of any outfield player during the game.

Therefore, after a disappointing display against Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side, you wonder whether the Austrian manager will consider recalling Valery to his side for the Saints’ next game against Brighton, considering the Frenchman is yet to feature for the first-team this season.

It will be interesting to see if Hasenhuttl keeps faith in the £12m summer arrival for future Southampton fixtures, but it certainly wasn’t the 23-year-old’s best performance in a Southampton shirt.

David Moyes must axe Issa Diop from the West Ham United starting line-up after the French centre-half struggled on his return to action against Crystal Palace.

Diop had not opened a Premier League fixture since testing positive for coronavirus in September, with the form of Fabian Balbuena, Angelo Ogbonna and Aaron Cresswell locking the £22million Mario Husillos signing out of the side.

But Balbuena was unable to face Roy Hodgson’s Eagles after sustaining a small groin injury and it being deemed not worth the risk of fielding the Paraguayan, who now faces an undetermined spell on the sidelines.

Moyes had only awarded Diop 27 minutes of top-flight action since September’s 2-1 defeat to Arsenal, coming on as a late substitute for Ogbonna against Fulham when the Italian sustained a groin issue after contact with Aleksandar Mitrovic.

Ogbonna was able to make an immediate return thanks to the November international break, seeing Diop – who has earned £8.7m since joining West Ham on a £67,000-per-week contract – miss out once more.

But even if Balbuena is not passed fit to face Chelsea on Monday, Diop should not be so lucky as to start after his dismal display at the London Stadium.

Diop showed worrying signs of rustiness from the off in his efforts to contain Christian Benteke on Wednesday night, who broke away easily and was given acres of space to head home Crystal Palace’s only goal of the game.

Benteke continued to offer an offensive threat for the visitors before being shown what Hodgson believed to be a “ludicrous” red card, after picking up a second yellow for an elbow on Tomas Soucek after a similar incident with Ogbonna.

The Belgian striker glanced two headers just wide of Lukasz Fabianski’s goal and could have done better with a sliced effort when found in the box by Andros Townsend, having been a relentless issue for Diop to contain.

Diop, who Alan Hutton feels has “got a lot of improving left to go”, will likely struggle to shake off the cobwebs against Chelsea if kept in the line-up for Monday’s trip to Stamford Bridge, where Frank Lampard’s side are unbeaten since the opening day of the season and have scored 14 times in the five Premier League fixtures held since.
